Washington D.C. has what I determined are three major areas:
Dupont Circle, Downtown and Southeast. Having determined that, you will want to
know that each of these areas is fairly large in their size. Thus there is quite
a bit of walking within any given area.
For those of you like myself - non-native D.C. - you will
also want to become familiar with two things: Washington's street system, and
the subway. The subway is awesome, and gets you fairly close to just about
everything. Washington D.C. is also a good town to catch a taxi in. The street
system you simply want to get yourself a map and get familiar with. There is a
classic grid system in place, times two. The second is as if it were slanted at
a 45 degree angle to the first. And then there are the circles. I am familiar
with driving circles, having lived in New Jersey for a time. However, these
circles are huge, and it's very confusing sometimes to figure out where is where
as you traverse around them.
The
listings to the left are the bars and clubs I have photographed, by geographic
location.
Having said all that, Washington D.C. has lots to offer for all types!
