Trombone, Second Chair
The fall of my freshman year of high school, under the tutelage of Mr. Carlson (Columbia Jr. High, Col. Hts., MN), I auditioned for and made one of the most prestigious music programs in a very artistically literate state. Of the three tiers of symphonic units, I placed in the middle - but who cares, I was in heaven! The trombone was my instrument, and I got to play it in Orchestra Hall (among other venues), an acoustically perfect concert hall. It was a dream come true!
